Jason is a Launceston-based pianist-composer and guitarist-singer-songwriter who divides his creative energies between melodic cool jazz and song-focused rock ‘n’ roll. His jazz compositions admit the unmistakable influence of the great jazz modernists - Ellington, Monk, Mingus, Shorter. His songs contain flashes of 60s pop, classic punk, British and Australian indie and American college rock.
